Thermal Imaging And Home Inspection
When performing a home inspection for a client or realtor, thermal imaging using FLIR technology during the inspection can help any inspector to be more informed and complete than without it. When a home inspector is inspecting a dwelling whether it is a commercial dwelling, a single family residential unit, or a muti-family residential property, they rely on standards of practice, and routine.

One thing that will allow a home inspector to improve, is Thermal Imaging. Visual inspections are what inspectors do, however we are limited by our tools and accessibility. Thermal imaging gives an inspector an extra layer of accessibility. It allows us to see a set of images that can not be seen by the naked eye, therefore it adds to the quality of the inspection.
Moisture intrusion, lack of insulation, cooling or heating loss, can all be seen through temperature related images that the FLIR imaging can provide. However, some issues can only be seen under the right temperature conditions. This is one of the only limitations about this service.
Four Roses Inspections LLC, provides this add-on service for their clients, or thermal imaging can be used at the discretion of the inspector. The components and systems that are inspected when accessible and allowable, are the main and sub-electrical panels, water heaters, attic spaces, HVAC Duct work , along with interior walls and ceilings.
